China-South Africa
Cross-border Incubator

With the support of the Ministries of Science and Technology of China and South Africa, Xi'an Inno and South Africa Innovation Hub officially signed a MOU in December 2020 to cooperate in building a China-South Africa Cross-border Incubator. Both parties have reached a cooperation agreement to develop an innovation cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative, focusing on promoting in-depth cooperation in technology transfer, innovation activities, talent exchange, and market expansion for technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from both countries.
As a national-level international science and technology cooperation platform, the China-South Africa Cross-border Incubator plays an important role in promoting innovation cooperation between two countries. Specifically, it:
1. Further promotes the flow and cooperation of elements such as technology, market, capital, and talent between the markets of China and South Africa.
2. Facilitates technological R&D cooperation between enterprises, universities, and research institutions in both countries.
3. Provides soft landing services to help Chinese enterprises enter the South African market and South African enterprises enter the Chinese market.
4. Cultivates an innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem rooted in South Africa and aimed at the global market.
5. Provides training for incubator managers and staff from other African countries to help improve the overall level of incubation services in Africa.
